It happened that in the forests there lived human dissenters who saw the power of nature and inexplicable forces, later called magic, trying to learn the secrets of the world around them. Legend has it, that it was one of the sages of the forest who came into possession of extraordinary, magical power, becoming one of the first great mages. He was called Odun, The Great Mage, the Son of the Forest.
In his acuteness, he reached the very heart of nature and possessed the knowledge that allowed to transfer the soul of a living being to runic stones after death. Creepers and roots intertwined around them, and the bark grew all over them, forming a new body in which the mage could continue his life. Odun was the first to devote himself to the eternal service of the forest after his death. Many who studied his teachings could, at the end of their days, become keepers of the forest. Over time, they began to be called Oduns after the name of their teacher, but in the secret language of these creatures, each one of them has its own name.
Oduns are an Elite Unit in the upcoming Gaeldor army. They wield great power thanks to their spears and wooden body
